As the blessed month of self-sacrifice came to an end and the day of reward neared, Alhamdulillah, with the efforts of our community donations we were given the opportunity to spread some joy. Eid is known as a time of happiness and prosperity, which follows the auspicious month of Ramadhan. Muslims rejoice at the rewards they have achieved by their virtuous efforts in fasting and increased worship during the past month.
At Brookhouse Development Group, we wanted to share our happiness with others during this time. In particular, our Key Workers who have been struggling to combat the implications of the current world pandemic. As our previous post highlights, the community has been extremely generous in donating cash, food and other items for the Key Workers’ Khidmat. Without their support, we would not be able to support our Key Workers in this way.
Whilst there is no way for us to repay Key Workers for the countless hours they have dedicated as well as the sacrifices they have made, the donated gifts are a small token of our appreciation. We hope they provide some comfort and display just how much we all value the selfless work they are doing.
We would like to stress that without our community donations, this would not have been possible. To all who donated and supported us in one way or another, Jazak Allahu Khayran (May God reward you with goodness)!
We pray that insha’Allah (God Willing) you are all doing well, the COVID-19 pandemic soon passes and some sense of normality can return to our lives. Eid Mubarak!
